What is #FilltheSmith?

#FilltheSmith is all about celebrating The Smith and her perseverance, beauty, and continued impact on Geneva and the Finger Lakes, despite the recent challenges presented by the global pandemic. 

 

When is it?

#FilltheSmith will take place on Friday, March 26th from 12am to 12am on Saturday, March 27th.

 

What is GiveGab?

GiveGab is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy to use products that allows organizations to function in a more streamlined manner.

 

Who can donate?

Anyone with a credit card and access to the internet.

 

What forms of donations are accepted?

Credit Card and check donations will be accepted. For online donations, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

 

Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?

Yes. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt acknowledging your gift. 

 

Is there a minimum gift?

There is a $5 minimum donation.

 

Can I make donations via a mobile device?

Yes! Simply visit donate.thesmith.org.

 

Will my gift – if made in advance of the Giving Day – help populate the leaderboards?

Yes! Gifts made in advance of #FilltheSmith through donate.thesmith.org will be displayed on the leaderboard when it goes live at 12:00 a.m. on March 26, 2021.

 

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely - #FilltheSmith is facilitated by GiveGab, a company who has partnered with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification possible) to process all gifts made through GivingDay.org. Read through Stripe's security documentation online.

 

Is my #FilltheSmith contribution tax deductible?

Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes.

 

Does it cost anything to give through Giving Day? How much of my donation will the Smith Center for the Arts receive?

There is a 2% processing fee and a 2.2% (+ $.30) bank fee for donations made using all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express). You have the option to cover these costs in addition to your gift. If you choose not to do so, the cost will be absorbed through the Smith Center for the Arts, leaving 100% of your gift to support the Smith and to remain tax deductible.

 

Can I help promote #FilltheSmith?

Please do! Send an email to your friends, family and colleagues; post on your Facebook and Instagram, tweet, and talk to your network. Share your support for the Smith to everyone you know! 

 

How will the donation be reported on my credit card?

Gifts made on the Giving Day will appear on donors' credit cards as "SMITH CENTER FOR THE A".
